SMS messages are sent by roofing contractors (merchants) who subscribe to RafterCore. Messages are sent from the toll-free number +1 (855) 972-3858, which is shared across the RafterCore platform. Each message identifies the specific contractor by name.
Homeowners (end users) provide explicit consent to receive SMS at the point of booking through the RafterCore Customer Portal. The consent process is as follows:
Contractor invites customer — The roofing contractor enters the homeowner's name, email, and mobile phone number when creating a new job in RafterCore.
Customer receives portal invitation — An email is sent inviting the homeowner to access their free project portal at raftercore.com/customer.
Customer logs in and provides consent — Upon first login, the homeowner is presented with the consent disclosure below and must actively check the box to receive SMS notifications.
Consent is recorded — The opt-in timestamp, IP address, and phone number are logged. No SMS is sent until explicit consent is captured.
Customers who opt in may receive the following categories of transactional SMS messages related to their roofing project:

Every message includes Reply STOP to opt out. Upon receiving STOP, the customer is immediately removed from all future messaging and receives a single confirmation: "You have been unsubscribed from RafterCore SMS notifications. You will receive no further messages. Reply START to resubscribe."
Customers may also reply HELP to receive: "RafterCore SMS Support: contact@raftercore.com or (855) 972-3858. Reply STOP to unsubscribe."
